With Tyler’s profile bigger than ever, he has decided to pursue a lifelong ambition to release his own music and is launching his artist project in 2023. Taking influence from the UK Garage, Soul, House and R&B classics he was raised on and bringing a fresh ear to productions that comes naturally from working in dance radio and regularly DJ’ing in clubs and at events, Tyler is certainly one to watch in the commercial dance space. 

Tyler is best known for his hit daily radio show on KISS FM, ‘The Home Straight with Tyler West‘ which reaches over a million listeners per week and has seen a 28% increase year on year. Tyler’s love of music is deeply embedded into his personality and it is clear to see why he has built such a loyal audience on his radio drive time show. His musical passion shone through in Strictly Come Dancing, where he surprisingly performed to the UK Garage song ‘Flowers’, a very first for the prime time BBC show. Tyler began DJ’ing in 2019 when he was signed to the radio giant and he regularly performs at events in the UK and internationally, including Kiss’ Ibiza Summer Pool Party in Ibiza and Marbella, bringing his signature upbeat energy.

The charismatic presenter’s TV career is also going from strength to strength. In 2021, Tyler hosted BBC THREE’s series ‘Flat Out Fabulous’, an interior design show for millennials which showcased Tyler’s engaging and warm presenting style. As a regular presenter for MTV, Tyler is also the Host of The MTV Movie Show – an online series deep diving into the latest film releases and he regularly interviews Hollywood A-Listers including Idris Elba, Daniel Craig and Jack Black, to name a few. Feeding his passion for storytelling, Podcasts have always appealed to Tyler and resulted in his original idea ‘Every Day Hustle’ being developed and produced by Studio71 UK in 2018. Later in 2020, Tyler was the host of MTV’s Celebrity Ex On The Beach Podcast and has co-hosted on the Official Love Island podcast in 2022 and 2023.
